Complimentary Use of The Wells Spa facilities for all Residents. (However please Pre-Book if you can)
Dear Guest
We are delighted to announce that use of the “Thermal Suite & Wet Areas” in The Wells Spa, i.e. the Indoor-Outdoor Pool, Aroma Steam Room, Finnish Sauna, Hydro Pool, Jacuzzi, Chill-Out Zone, Heated Loungers and Outdoor Hot Tub, are complimentary to all Hotel Residents (over 16 years of age).
We also have a separate heated indoor Pool, Sauna and Gym in BrookHall, available to all guests on a complimentary basis (under 16’s must be supervised by a responsible adult).
We did, for a period of time, introduce a nominal charge for use of the Wells Spa Thermal Suite for guests not having a treatment, however we have now reversed on our policy on this.
The idea behind the charge was not to generate revenue, but to encourage use of the new pool etc in BrookHall and therefore ensure that guests having treatments were able to enjoy the Wells Spa in a truly relaxing atmosphere. In fact the cost of the new BrookHall facilities was over €1,000,000, so it obviously was never a decision based on economic calculations.
Although we endeavoured to explain the reasoning behind the charge to patrons, unfortunately not all of you were happy with our decision and because we hope that we listen and learn, we have reverted to our original position of complimentary access to all over 16 guests.
However, it is still very important that The Wells continues to be an oasis of calm and serenity and therefore we are introducing a limit on the numbers of non-treatment guests in The Wells during busy periods. To facilitate this, a booking system, similar to a restaurant reservation system, is now in place, where you can pre-reserve times for visiting The Wells and chilling out. Obviously, this will only apply at busy periods and we will try to ensure that everybody’s needs are catered for, and, of course, the BrookHall facilities are also available.
