Dear Niamh and Suzanne,

I write this on behalf of all my family and their partners as everyone of them wanted to express their thanks to every staff member of Brooklodge.

From the moment I inquired about the weekend, to when we all arrived, right to the end the experience was second to none.

It’s very obvious that communication is key for the hotel which is fantastic as you can have the best products or the best rooms but the experience is a hundred times better when the team are as outstanding as you all are.

We enjoyed good craic in the pub, a fabulous meal at La Taverna Armento (again the wait staff were great) and amazing treatments in the spa. Everyone loved their rooms (especially me, thanks for the upgrade) and didn’t want to leave. If we can ask you both to share our thanks with each and every one of the team and tell them that we look forward to meeting them again very soon.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful day last Friday. Everyone told me that they had enjoyed their day immensely and all are hoping to return to BrookLodge again soon. On hindsight, I think we should has stayed for dinner, as a some of the crew told me the Macreddin buzz they were enjoying so much, dissipated a bit on the bus journey back to town. We’ll know better next time.

I certainly had a great day myself and thank you so much for organising the Facial – I felt like a new man leaving there on Friday. Mind you Ludo must take a large portion of the credit for that also.

My apologies for the very late email to you both but I haven't forgotten you even though all this time has passed.

I would like to thank you both sincerely for all your help & support in organising the 4 day conference in September. We had a wonderful time in Brooklodge. Everybody was raving about the place during our time there & still to this day.

As you know the majority of the staff had an intense 4 days. The feedback after the conference was that the lovely environment & relaxed atmosphere created by Brooklodge staff allowed them to unwind when they eventually had some down time. And what can I say about the food - It was beautiful! Everything from the breakfast to the 'big table' went down an absolute treat.

So ladies thank you so much for making my job easy. You will see me again soon along with many others who said they would definitely be back.

Golf Society – September 2009.

Hi Niamh,

I’m only back at my desk today as I think the wisest move I made was taking yesterday off too.

The golf course was in fabulous condition; everyone raved about it and could not wait to play it on the Monday, although that was on Sunday evening. Slightly different opinion on Monday morning!!!!!!!

The food, well what can I say only “outstanding”. I have eaten in some very fine establishments before but was completely taken by storm. Once again, not one complaint.

The rooms were spot on, although unfortunately, I did not spend much time in it!!!!!

Overall, a superb few days and night stay was had by all.

Thank you very much and to Manish in the Strawberry Tree and all the staff at Brooklodge and Daniel in the Pro shop was a life saver.

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know, myself and my husband Tim stayed with you on Friday night (18th September) to celebrate our 1st anniversary having had our wedding reception there in the Brooklodge on 11th September 2008.  I have to admit I was chancing my arm asking on the booking form if you could make it a bit more special for us as it was our anniversary.  We were absolutely delighted to find we had been upgraded to a suite, there was champagne and fruit waiting for us upon our arrival with a card signed by all the staff.  When we had dinner in the Strawberry Tree restaurant later on, there was a dessert with candles and Happy Anniversary written on it.  The staff was all wishing us a happy anniversary too.  We felt like VIP's and really thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as we did last year for our wedding too.

So I just wanted to write and say a very sincere thank you from us both and to let you all know that your efforts were very much appreciated.

Our group all thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Brook Lodge hotel, and many of them told me that they intend to return with family and friends as soon as possible.

It’s a great place to use as a base for exploring Wicklow, and staff are very knowledgeable about the locality and very helpful when it came to providing information, booking taxis, and so on. The hotel itself is a pleasure to stay in. The food was extraordinarily well prepared and always very tasty. Each of the restaurants has its own atmosphere, but all are very relaxing. Spa facilities are first rate, and the grounds make a great setting. Rooms are extremely comfortable and very well equipped – when I needed to work, I could access the hotel’s WIFI and make use of the in-room PC, and when I wanted to relax, there was a CD player, flat screen TV, and a terrific selection of DVDs available from reception. Although I was at the hotel for business, I alsobrought my wife and young child with me. We were made to feel very welcome in all parts of the hotel, and at all times. I have no hesitation whatsoever about recommending the Brook Lodge to anyone – for business or pleasure.

Everyone was 'wowed' by the big table and thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic food and ambiance - it went like clockwork thanks to the great team at Brooklodge.

I've never been to anything before where everyone was on such a high after the occasion, with not even the slightest gripe from the guests - but maybe that suggests we should go to Brooklodge more often - and not just to see Lorna and have her sell us loads from the shop, and eat at the bar.

(One of the guests is a chef from a fairly well known UK country house - he was well impressed, and couldn't fault anything. My niece did a paper for her degree on The Strawberry Tree, and really appreciated being able to sample the food).

I just wanted to email you to thank you both for all your hard work and efforts to help in the build up and on the day of our wedding.

We had an absolute ball and loved every minute of it!

All our guests commented on how fantastic the venue was, the food, the room etc.

Even though it rained, you wouldn't even know it in our photos. It's the perfect location for any weather.

And the Saturday night, the BBQ in Actons was just brilliant! The poor barmen probably didn't know what hit them!

It was great to have the run of the place.

Dear Joe,

It has taken me about a week to recover (properly) from my 3 day 40th and I wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you. I guess the time has helped me recover from the bill as well!!

Joking aside, I am really grateful for the fantastic way the entire event went off. Firstly Suzanne and Niamh were just great to deal with, professional, patient, responsive and fun, a great mix. They were a huge help right from the first phone call / meeting to all the last details (including telling me to have the Rugby in the right place!!).

The food (and in particular the fabulous Big table Banquet), the overall atmosphere, the Spa, the staff (the very understanding and late serving staff – with particular respect to Niall and Andrew) and the Golf course (in particular the back 9) were just world class – truly fantastic.

I would recommend the Brooklodge to anyone for any event and I think the other 104 happy punters from my 40th Banquet agree – the guests were just blown away and there were (in addition to my good-self!) some high maintenance / well travelled punters in attendance.

I wish you well for a challenging 2009 but if you keep doing what your doing in Brooklodge you will continue to be hugely successful.

We stayed with you over St Patrick’s weekend. I had planned to fill in a feedback form but it did not give me the scope to say what I wanted to say.

In short I just wanted to compliment you on a fantastic service. We used all aspects of your services and all were great. We brought our 11 month baby who was ten months at the time with us for the weekend and I was a bit apprehensive as I had stayed with you a number of years before. However I could not single out any member of staff who wasn’t helpful in some shape or form.

I cook everything from scratch for my daughter and your staff couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating her dietary requirements.

To be honest it was more than just that, the whole experience was wonderful.

You both handle it extremely well and are a credit to the hotel.

Dear Sir/Madam

Myself and my husband stayed in Brook Lodge on Saturday night (8th November) and I just wanted to ask you to please compliment your staff on the excellent job they are doing.  I have stayed in many hotels and as part of my job I have organised Executive events in various venues around the country and I found the general attitude of the Brook Lodge staff to be second to none.  Everyone we met had a cheery greeting for us, from the accommodation staff we met in the corridors to the truly excellent restaurant staff.  Our visit was to celebrate my birthday and we had a number of guests for dinner and their only complaint was that they had left it too late to book and couldn't stay the night.

The restaurant staff were lovely, friendly, cheerful, and professional as were the staff in the spa area who made us most welcome despite the fact that we had forgotten to book time in their pool area.  The food was fabulous too.  I have a variety of food intolerances and often find I end up having to eat boring food to avoid illness but during my stay with you there was very little on the menu I couldn't eat and I was able to eat food that I really enjoyed. Thank you very much to you and your staff for a lovely birthday weekend. I'm hoping to get back to Brook Lodge again soon, hopefully for more than one night!

Myself and my husband were in Brooklodge this weekend for our 1st anniversary. We had the most amazing wedding in Brooklodge this day last year and I just wanted to send a big thanks for the very special treatment we got this weekend. First of all we were totally blown away by the fab suite that we were upgraded to, it really was such a treat and then the Happy anniversary dessert with candles that we got in the strawberry tree was such a nice surprise and to top it all off the wine was on the house. We felt totally spoilt and really appreciated the gestures.

I just wanted to pass on a special thanks to Ger McCabe who I'm pretty sure had something to do with the special treatment we received and also to Dusan in the Strawberry tree who always seems to remember us every time we visit and goes out of his way to make us feel welcome.

There is no doubt that Brooklodge was the best wedding venue we could have wished for and an amazing location for our anniversary celebration. I look forward to many more anniversaries to come in this amazing hotel. It's no surprise that Brooklodge has the fantastic reputation it has with so many fantastic people working there.

Sincere congratulations on winning the AA Hotel of the Year Award for 2008/2009. When I heard it on the news last night, I thought how well deserved is that award. Having had one wedding there this year, invited to attend another wedding in January 09 together with all our company seminars we have run this year, we are certainly in agreement with Conor Faughnan’s speech when he said you have created a unique experience in Macreddin, where we all feel you excel in quality, warmth, design and food all encompassed in a fantastic ambience.I hope you will all celebrate for your part in achieving this very prestigious award.

With a 2 1/2 year old at home my wife and I were looking for a relaxing weekend and BrookLodge more than delivered on its promise to provide just that. We ate in both restaurants, La Taverna Armento on the 1st night which was perfect for a late arrival, fresh good food. Having spent the next day using the Spa we settled into one of the finest meals I have ever had, in the Strawberry Tree, the taste of the organic / wild food was out of this world. Hello,

I recently (Saturday 23rd February) stayed in your hotel for one night and had dinner in the Strawberry Tree restaurant together with two friends.

I am a Coeliac and so eating out can be tricky.  I find it a bit awkward explaining what I can and can’t eat and often feel like I am being difficult customer.  I want to thank all the staff for being so patient and helpful to me regarding the foods that I could eat, they really went out of their way to be helpful.

We had a lovely stay in the hotel, our rooms were fabulous, lunch in the bar was great, and our dinner was fantastic.  We particularly enjoyed the Jazz on Saturday evening.  I think we might end up making it an annual event!

Hi Aisling,

Yvonne here from Seoige & O’ Shea on RTE. I just have to say a HUGE!!!! Thanks for last night. My husband has never had a massage before and he was on another planet this morning! The food and service was unbelievable. We normally go to Shanahans on the Green for dinner on a special occasions but I have to say the restaurant at BrookLodge is just the best yet! We cannot wait to spend another couple of nights at the hotel. We were both so impressed and I am going to tell everyone about it! It ’ s just beautiful and we loved it I am so grateful to you !

As I said cannot wait to do it again for a little longer.
