Gustavo & Theresa Hernandez - Food from Mexico
Mero Mero means: “the real thing” and Gustavo who hails from Thaquepaque, Mexico, and his Irish wife Theresa have been producing authentic Mexican foods for many years. Visit their Mero Mero stall and you will be sure to find customers chowing down on the finest burritos, empanadas, fajitas and tacos.
Denis Healy - Denis Healy Vegetables
Denis is certified organic since 1983, and grows his wide full range of fruit, vegetables, herbs without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilisers, herbicides or other artificial treatments, and has been supplying BrookLodge since we opened in December 1999. www.organicdelights.ie
Sam & Betty Griffith - Olvi Oils
Handmade sauces by Sam & Miriam Griffith, father and daughter team since 1994. Very easy to use, additive free and Irish made delicious sauces.Both Sam & Betty have been attending BrookLodge Markets since we started 12 years ago. www.olvioils.ie
Sheelagh Goss - Cakes
Sheelagh who lives in Aughrim has been attending Macreddin Village Food Market for the past few years. Her speciality homemade cakes and buns have guests queuing up to her stall as soon as she arrives. Our favourite is her homemade Lemon drizzle cake…
Jenny & Peter Young - Castlefarm
Peter and Jenny are the fourth generation of Youngs at Castlefarm, and all their meat, vegetables and eggs are certified organic. Their stand also sells other local produce and speciality foods including cheese, chutneys, dressings, jams farmhouse Ice cream, home-baking & gluten free items. www.castlefarmshop.ie
Sue Wardell - Mr Bees’s Active Manuka Honey
Sue and Trevor Wardell import their Mr Bee’s Active Manuka directly from a bee keeper in New Zealand. It is not blended or processed and is just as the bees intended, “probably” the purest Manuka honey on market. mrbeesmanuka.com
Cathy Whitty - Cathy’s Spelt for Health
Cathy’s business started after she suffered an allergic reaction to wheat. After this Cathy began baking with spelt flour instead of wheat and her business grew from there. Cathy sells her pre-mix range of bread mixes at our market and our own Village Storerooms. cathysspeltforhealth.ie
Hermione Winters - Cakes, Sweetie Things
Hermione who is a convivium leader with Slow Food Ireland, surprises us every month with something she makes in her own kitchen. Her speciality fudge and cakes always go down a treat with the customers.
J Hick & Sons - Hick’s Traditional Pork Butchers.
Ed Hick is a 4th generation pork butcher with a full organic licence. They make on average of 10+ types of sausages per week including bespoke recipes. They cure, salt & smoke all their own bacon and hams. The BrookLodge have been using Ed Hicks Sausages and Pudding since 1999. www.edhicks.com
Enda & Tracy Byrne - Three Wells Ice Cream
Three Wells is located just outside Aughrim Village beside us here at The BrookLodge. This luxury ice cream is made in the old fashioned way, prepared with milk and cream from their own dairy herd. - Wild Garlic Pesto - Our Wild Garlic Pesto is a must at the May & April Markets. Wild Garlic is picked by the chefs of Macreddin Village and then made into Pesto; we also serve this to our guests in The Strawberry Tree Restaurant.

- Organic Breads & Jams – Organic Breads made fresh from Macreddin Bakery, including our renowned Brown Bread which goes down a treat with all our Market goers. For anyone that has had Breakfast in BrookLodge they will be familiar with our Organic Strawberry and Green Peppercorn Jam or another favourite is our Organic Marmalade with Jameson Whiskey.
