BrookLodge & Macreddin Village significantly reduce their carbon footprint
& join forces with Calor Gas to switch to BioLPG gas.
BrookLodge & Macreddin Village is currently renowned for its on-going, sustainable practices and green ethos commitment. Recently, we have switched to BioLPG, a renewable gas exclusively available from Calor, reducing emissions by up to 90% subsequently reducing our overall carbon footprint. Calor’s BioLPG IS 100% renewable source. It is not a fossil fuel and is made entirely from organic waste. Biogas combined with our woodchip plants means that all the fuel required in BrookLodge & Macreddin Village is totally carbon neutral.
Evan Doyle, owner of BrookLodge & Macreddin Village alongside James Kavanagh, Head Chef explained the rationale for switching to BioLPG.
“Energy is an important part of our product, from heating rooms, instant hot water to our renowned cuisine. The energy that Calor gives us literally allows us to give a warm welcome to our customers. Now that welcome is a little warmer and it also makes the world a little greener”.
