Sally Gap
The Sally Gap is just an hour’s drive from BrookLodge & Macreddin Village. The Sally Gap is a crossroads that leads you North to Dublin, West to Blessington, South to Glendalough, or East to Roundwood. When visiting the Sally Gap, you’ll experience a sense of remoteness which makes it hard to believe that Ireland’s capital is so near, It offers spectacular views across the blanket bog and the Wicklow Mountains. Highlights include Lough Tay, the Glenmacnass waterfall and Glencree Valley, which offers a number of wonderful walks.
It is suggested to leave around 40 minutes to complete the journey by car, However, if you want to stop along the way to enjoy the various viewpoints, it’s recommended to allow up to 2 hours. That way, you can truly take in all that Sally Gap has to offer, From the picturesque landscape to the incredible vistas, there is plenty to see and do. So make sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy it all!
