One Day Bread Making MasterClass
Participants will receive a welcome tour of Macreddin Village including the Kitchens. The MasterClass will begin with an introduction to the History surrounding bread making in Ireland. Evan Doyle, with the assistance of the Macreddin Village Baker along with the help of some of The Strawberry Tree Brigade will share tips and recipes for baking Organic Irish Flat Bread, Organic Irish Sourdough Bread, Organic Irish Brown Bread, Organic Irish Heart Stone Bread, Organic Irish White Loaf and more… During this Food Heritage MasterClass, attendees will enjoy a demonstration on how to bake bread the old fashioned way… using a Soda Pot over an open Turf Fire. Our Bread making MasterClass will also offer guests the opportunity to make their own loaf of Brown Bread to take home. In addition, participants will leave with some of their very own precious Macreddin Village live yeast.

One Day Wild Foods MasterClass
Macreddin Village is host to a variety of Wild Foods MasterClasses. Participants will receive a welcome tour of Macreddin Village including The Kitchens and The Strawberry Tree’s Wild Foods Pantry, followed by in depth tuition taking them through a full calendar of natural Wild Foods that are available along 327,000km of our Irish Hedgerows. The MasterClass with The Chefs of The Strawberry Tree Restaurant and Evan Doyle, co-author of the best-selling 'Wild Food' book will cover identification as well as instruction on how to gather, cook and preserve using traditional methods such as sugar, oil, drying, vinegars and alcohol. After enjoying lunch in The Waterside Lounge, participants will be brought outdoors with The Strawberry Tree’s Wild Food Forager to do some gentle hands on foraging around Macreddin Village.

One Day Cheese Making MasterClass
A one day hands on cheese making class which provides full tuition on how to produce soft-ripe cheeses and aged hard cheeses with a two course lunch, tea/coffee.
One Day Smoking Foods MasterClass
A one day class on Smoking Foods providing full tuition from knowledge gained from over 20 years with access to Macreddin’s two working smokers. 2 course lunch, tea/coffee included.
One Day Curing Foods MasterClass
A one day class on methods required to dry cure, wet cure, and smoke cure Irish Beef, Lamb and Game in traditional manner with parallel tastings. 2 course lunch, tea/coffee included.
