We Won at the 2023 Gold Medal Awards!

Exciting news! We’re overjoyed to share that we recently received Gold in Ireland’s Menu Provenance Award at the prestigious Gold Medal Awards!

Now in their 34th year, the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards are recognised as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry. Judged by industry experts, the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards recognise and reward excellence in hospitality and catering operations across Ireland. The winners were announced on Tuesday, the 30th of January at a gala awards ceremony hosted by Anton Savage at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway and we were delighted to be in such good company.

After careful consideration, the judging panel chose the candidates they believed to be worthy of receiving a Gold Medal Award and only the best in the industry were crowned winners. The Ireland’s Menu Provenance Award applauds the culinary excellence of restaurants and hotels committed to harnessing the rich diversity of local and seasonal produce throughout the year. This category serves as a beacon of recognition for establishments that go above and beyond in their dedication to sustainability, innovation, and the promotion of regional agriculture.

Leading the way in our eco-conscious journey is Evan Doyle, a founding force behind BrookLodge & Macreddin Village. Since the 1980s, Evan has passionately advocated for organic food, with the hotel established in 1999 on these foundational principles. His involvement in the Slow Food Movement, the Taste Council of Ireland, and the Organic Trust underscores our enduring commitment to responsible and sustainable dining practices.

We have mastered the art of showcasing impeccable traceability in our ingredients, providing our guests with a transparent and authentic dining experience. From field to plate, we prioritise the importance of knowing the origins of every component that graces our menus.
